About Us

Pinetown and District Athletic Club (PDAC) was established in 1969 and is an athletic club based on a written constitution that governs the election of office bearers and committee members from among the membership. An annual general meeting is held each year. PDAC is affiliated to KwaZulu-Natal Athletics (KZNA) which in turn answers to Athletics South Africa (ASA).

PDAC has a proud history of producing provincial, national and international athletes, some of whom have represented South Africa at the Olympic Games.

We are involved in the following disciplines:
•    Road Running
•    Race Walking
•    Cross Country
•    Time Trial Leagues
•    Masters Association Athletics
•    Track and Field

Although we do not currently have active track and field coaching we do have a number of athletes throughout the age categories that participate in the various leagues and can put you in contact with the relevant coaches.

Athletes of all levels are welcome - from beginners to provincial and national class athletes.  We pride ourselves on having fun and enjoying the sport.
